Henri Bolan

Named after my friend for promo for a new show meet Henri Bolan, he is the shy retiring, slightly gay type that loves nothing more than staring at girls in the dark and sitting on cats.

Captain James McWolfson

'Captain James McWolfson' - Fine Liner on board. 6ft x 2ft

The character from the recent video. After some pretty hefty re- works as he failed the 'scaling down' test, here is the new beast.
An anthropomorphic White Wolf captain Captain James seeks to find his troops in the shadows with his blind dead eyes and his broken compass.

www.mrmead.co.uk

A very limited open edition run of full size poster prints of this piece are available only through me......

Adrian Sykes

http://www.adriansykes.co.uk/gallery.php

Here is a link to the master of cityscape drawing my local compadre Adrian Sykes, this is a link to his latest piece of London that has been the bane of his life for quite a while......I think you will agree though that the effort was worth it!

Captain James collab...

http://www.fracturedether.co.uk/collaborations/mr-mead-captain-james-mcwolfson/

A great write up of our recent video collaboration by Fractured Ether. I wish i could reciprocate properly in words, but words are not my strong point and therefore i will just say that it was a pleasure to work with him and recommend his services.

Indian steam girl

Fineliner,dip pen & black acrylic

This is an experiment into a series of studys that i am going to do of portraits made up to look like children, but they are represented by bio mechanical steam parts, with only a hint of human flesh in there....I am going to call the series 'Children of steam'.

This one was done quick, but I think it roughly demonstrates what I am going for, I plan for the next ones to be a lot more detailed.....

Darwins Experiment

Fineliner, dip pen, ink wash & black acrylic on MDF

This is a piece that was previously going to be for the Antlers anatoymy show, but I felt like 'moving out the box' abit....so this became a Giuseppe Archimboldo inspired piece....with anatomical pieces making up his body...the hardest part (and one which admittedly is not obvious!) is his nose, which is actually a stitched on folded arm...

Subway rabbit

Fineliner on board

This is an experiment into the more detailed side of things. I want to develop my style so that it blends the fine detail linework from my previous background design life and the bleak characters. This is a hell of a challenge. I think this works but it has become more of a 'shot' than a piece in my eyes.

Dane Empire

Fineliner and black acrylic on board.

This is my big piece for the Jamaica Street Open Studios, weekend before last. It is 5ft x 3.5ft...a beast....I just noticed summit I forgot...bugger haha

Lulu

Back in action...

For a while now since the solo show i have taken some time out, it was utterly needed from the intense burn out of the show...
Now though i am back and feel really really inspired, i have got rid of my drawing demons and am ready to get into new things.....Expect to see alot more asap, i feel for once excited about the future and don't want to stop anymore.....

The above drawings don't illustrate much, just getting back into it with a few sketches...
